01 / Copy the post link

Open the post in X. Choose Share → Copy link, or copy the post URL from your browser. Use the link to the individual post, rather than an account profile, search page, or screenshot.

Both x.com and twitter.com post links are accepted. Tracking information added by the share menu can be left in place.

02 / Preview what is available

Paste the link into the X video downloader and choose Get video. The result shows the available videos, their previews, and the MP4 options returned by the source.

If a post contains more than one video, check the numbered cards and choose the clip you want. A looping GIF may be offered as MP4 because that is how it is delivered by X.

03 / Choose quality and save

The recommended option is the best available MP4. Open More quality options if you prefer a smaller version. Higher resolution generally needs more storage and data; the original upload determines which versions exist.

Choose Download MP4. Your browser may save the file, ask you where to put it, or open its download controls. The site can request a download, but cannot confirm that a file has reached your device.

If the video does not download

Check that the post is public and still available. Private posts, subscriber-only content, live broadcasts, and externally linked videos are outside this tool’s scope. If the service is temporarily unavailable, keep the same link and try again later.

For an iPhone, use the Safari saving guide. For other errors, see the download FAQ.
